Vitch Continues to be the Aggressor

Level 7

No-Limit Hold'em

Chris Vitch opened to 6,000 in the hijack, Justin Bonomo called from the cutoff and Dan Shak defended his big blind. The dealer spread out {j-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} on the flop.

Action checked to Vitch, he bet 8,000 and only Bonomo stuck around. A {4-Hearts} came down on the turn and Vitch fired out a bet of 35,000. Bonomo instantly folded, sending the pot to Vitch.

Hellmuth Nearly Doubles Through Schulman

Level 7

2-7 Triple Draw:

Phil Hellmuth raised under the gun and Nick Schulman made it three-bets in the big blind. Hellmuth made it four bets and Schulman called.

Both players took one then checked. Schulman took one again, and Hellmuth took one as well. Schulman then bet. Helmuth sweated his draw and exasperatedly threw the {4-Clubs} up on the table. He called anyways.

Schulman stood pat on the final draw. Hellmuth took one. Schulman then checked. Helmuth sweated his card.

"That's a good card," he said before betting, leaving himself with 1,500 behind. Schulman called. Helmuth showed his {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{2-} for an eighty-seven, and that would earn him the pot as Schulman mucked.

Yu Sits, Ohel Takes Chips From Him

Level 8

Omaha Hi-Lo:

Ben Yu recently entered the tournament and he's wearing an outfit eerily familiar to another player in the tournament. He's wearing a black jacket, PokerGo hat, and a blue collared shirt, much like Cary Katz wears on a regular basis.

In Yu's first hand, Randy Ohel opened with a raise. Ben Yu called in the big blind.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Yu checked. Ohel bet. Yu called.

On the {A-Diamonds} turn, both players checked and the {8-Clubs} came on the river. There, Yu checked. Ohel bet and Yu called.

"Ten-seven-deuce," Ohel said for a low and straight. Yu mucked.

"Can we get this guy out of here," Yu said, motioning to Ohel, jokingly.

Katz Grabs a Double Through Zinno

Level 8

PLO:

The flop showed {5-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Hearts} and the pot had around 32,000 in it . Anthony Zinno bet and Cary Katz moved all in for 45,000, Zinno called and the two turned over their hands.

Zinno flipped over {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives with a flush draw and Katz turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} for a pair of kings with a higher flush draw.

The {k-Clubs} on the turn and {4-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing as Katz took down the pot, doubling through Zinno.

Rast Eliminated by Vitch

Level 8
Chris Vitch
Chris Vitch

PLO:

Stephen Chidwick limped the button, Brian Rast called from the small blind and Chris Vitch checked the big blind. The dealer spread out {2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} on the flop.

Rast led for 10,500, Vitch raised to 25,000, Chidwick folded and Rast moved his last 28,000 into the middle. Vitch called and turned over {3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs} for a pair and flush draw. Rast showed {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for top pair and a straight draw.

The {a-Clubs} hit on the turn, putting Vitch in the lead with his flush. A {2-Hearts} on the river changed nothing as Vitch took down the pot, eliminating Rast from the tournament.
