In a duel of table short stacks, Nektarios Dimitrakis jammed the button for 515,000 and Todd Sekli called all-in for less than half of that.
Todd Sekli: 8♦8♠
Nektarios Dimitrakis: 9♥9♦
Both players picked up a straight draw until the A♣6♣5♠7♥ turn, neither of which came on the 3♠ river to send Sekli out in 25th place.
Wadih Barbara defended his big blind off a short stack against Kwang Nguyen and checked the A♥6♠4♠ flop. Nguyen bet more than 300,000 and Barbara called all-in for around 350,000.
Wadih Barbara: 6♥5♦
Kwang Nguyen: A♣Q♥
The 7♠ turn gave Barbara a lot more equity but the Q♠ on the river confirmed the elimination of Barbara on the final three tables.
Bobby Zhang raised to 80,000 and then called a small three-bet to 190,000 by Ruben Padilla in the next seat. The A♣7♠6♥ flop saw Zhang check-call for 130,000 and he checked the 6♣ on the turn. Padilla bet another 275,000 and Zhang quickly folded this time.
Action folded around to Joe Hachem in the small blind, who took a moment before sliding in a call.
"Friendly pot," said Hachem, and Thomas Pearce agreed by checking his big blind option. Hachem led out for 50,000 on the 8♥K♠Q♣ flop, and Pearce made the call.
The 4♠ turn saw both players check, and Hachem sized up to 250,000 on the K♥ river. After taking a moment, Pearce slid in the call. Hachem tabled K♣Q♦ for a full house, and Pearce quickly mucked.
"Friendly," said Hachem as he raked in the pot. "I'm just being friendly."
Anthony Hachem opened to 80,000 and Fred Tschirsch then jammed for 410,000. Ben Richardson in the big blind reshoved and Hachem folded.
"So you got the queens," Tschirsch predicted towards Richardson and that was indeed the case.
Fred Tschirsch: A♠K♦
Ben Richardson: Q♦Q♥
"I had nines," Hachem added. The A♥10♠4♣ flop propelled Tschirsch into the lead, which he retained throughout the 4♦ turn and 10♦ river.
Picking up the action on the K♥6♥2♥ flop, Todd Sekli check-raised from 60,000 to 200,000 and Bobby Zhang called. The A♥ turn was checked to the 4♠ river on which Sekli checked without any time bank cards available anymore. Zhang bet 275,000 and was paid off to show the 8♥8♣ for a flush, Sekli shook his head and mucked.
Tai Truong opened to 80,000 in middle position, and Dylan Foster defended his big blind to the 7♣5♣8♦ flop. Foster checked to Truong, who continued with a bet of 100,000.
The call was made, and both players checked through the 10♠ turn. Foster then moved all in on the 9♥ river, asking for the rest of Truong's stack.
After using two time bank cards, Truong opted to make the call.
Tai Truong: A♦10♦
Dylan Foster: J♥10♥
Foster showed his straight, and Truong's hand was turned up by the dealer has he made his way to the payout desk.
Chip leader Naz Sibaei opened to 80,000 and then called a three-bet by Higor Seibel for what appeared to be 255,000 in the next seat. On a flop of K♠10♦7♠, Sibaei check-called for 200,000 and checked again the 9♣ on the turn. Seibel made it 425,000 to go and that won the pot without further resistance.
Bobby Zhang raised it up to 80,000 and Ruben Padilla called in the next seat. Edward Hatzakortzian then three-bet to 300,000 thereafter and it folded back to Zhang who declared all-in. Padilla folded and Hatzakortzian called after brief consideration.
Edward Hatzakortzian: A♥K♥
Ruben Padilla: A♣Q♠
The J♠6♣6♦10♣7♣ board ensured that the kicker played as Hatzakortzian doubled for 1,680,000.
