Padilla Cracks Aces With Quads to Bust Kyriakou

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Andrew Kyriakou
Andrew Kyriakou

There were fireworks in the last hand before the break and they would end up with the elimination of Andrew Kyriakou in 32nd place, further cementing the status of Ruben Padilla among the big stacks in the field.

Kyriakou raised to 60,000 preflop and was called by Ruben Padilla on the button and two other players. Kyriakou's bet on the 4♣2♣2♠ flop was just called by Padilla and that led them to the A♣ turn. Kyriakou bet once more to get called and the 7♥ river completed the board.

Kyriakou's third barrel prompted the shove by Padilla, who was snapped off to reveal a staggering setup. Kyriakou had turned aces full with the A♥A♦ but Padilla's 2♥2♦ had flopped quad deuces for a brutal knockout.

Wang Leaves Ju Short

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action was heads up to the 7♣2♠9♣K♣ turn, where Hongbo Ju led out for 45,000 from the big blind. Yixian Wang raised to 110,000 on the button, and Ju replied with a three-bet to 250,000.

Wang made the call, and the 5♣ river completed the board. Ju used a time bank before betting 350,000, and Wang slid in the call.

Ju tabled A♦4♦, while Wang showed K♦7♥ for two pair to take down the pot and leave his opponent short.

Stojokovic Eliminated by Sibaei

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Once the action had folded to Milan Stojkovic on the button, he pushed all-in for the last 350,000. Table chip leader Naz Sibaei called from the big blind and the cards were flipped over.

Milan Stojkovic: Q♦J♣ All in
Naz Sibaei: K♥10♣

Sibaei retained his lead on the 10♠5♦3♥ flop and the 8♦ turn gave Stojkovic a few additional outs with his gutshot straight draw. However, the 6♦ on the river was a blank and that sent Stojkovic out in 33rd place near the end of the second level of play.

Naz Sibaei raised in middle position to 60,000, and Jinyu Wang checked his cards in the hijack and three-bet to 150,000. Action folded back around to Sibaei, who made the call and checked the 4♣2♠3♦ flop.

Wang continued for 80,000, and the call was made before the dealer reavealed the 3♥ turn. Sibaei checked again, and Wang fired another bet of 125,000.

Sibaei slid in a call, and tapped the table again on the 7♠ river. Wang used his final time bank card before announcing a bet of 600,000, leaving just 110,000 behind in his stack.

Sibaei then used his own time bank card before sticking in a call. Wang tabled A♣9♥, while Sibaei showed down 6♠6♥ to take a healthy pot.

Zac Miravet
Zac Miravet

On a heads-up turn of Q♠10♠6♣2♥, Jyrki Hilakari in the big blind check-raised enough to give Zac Miravet only two options - forfeit his bet of 130,000 or call all-in. Miravet called with the best hand to date in the following showdown.

Zac Miravet: Q♥Q♦ All in
Jyrki Hilakari: J♠9♦

The open-ended straight draw of Hilakari missed, as the 10♦ river only improved Miravet to double his short stack for 280,000.

Hachem Back to Seven Figures

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a single-raised pot to the 7♠6♠6♥ flop, Joe Hachem bet 75,000. Thomas Pearce raised it up to 180,000 and Hachem used one time bank before he made it 400,000 to go. That was enough to force out Pearce, who let his action clock run down to one second before he folded.

A Nice Split Pot

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

In a duel cutoff versus big blind, the flop showed 10♦8♥5♣ and Todd Sekli check-raised to 175,000 for Thomas Pearce to call. The 7♥ came on the turn and Sekli bet 310,000, Pearce jammed and was called.

Todd Sekli: 9♥6♣ All in
Thomas Pearce: 9♠6♠

Both chuckled when the cards were turned over and the A♠ river finished the already guaranteed split pot.

"How do you have six-nine there?" Sekli grinned.
