Buckley Makes a Great Call

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On a {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades} flop Mark Buckley was facing a shove from his opponent for around 38,000 with less than 15,000 in the middle. Buckley eventually called and was shown {8-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Buckley quickly turned over {8-Hearts}{q-Spades} and the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} sending his opponent to the rail and moving up over 225,000.

Romain Lewis
Romain Lewis

Some Team Pros go above and beyond to give a good impression to players. Romain Lewis is one of those pros as the Winamax Team Pro got his last chips in with {a-Hearts}{3-Spades} against the {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} of his opponent. The board was {3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Lewis's pair lost out to the set of his opponent.

Lewis handed over a commemorative button and voucher to his opponent who asked Lewis for a selfie and to sign his shirt. Just like all good Team Pros should, Lewis stuck around and signed the man's shirt before vacating the tournament area.

2018 Winamax Poker Open Dublin Smashes Field Record

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Coming into today the 2018 Winamax Poker Open Main Event needed 643 players to break last year's record of 1,069.

According to the tournament screens, today there have been a grand total of 767 entrants. Officials have said that some of these may be online qualifiers that have not played, but they expect them to number 40-50.

Nevertheless, the tournament looks to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest 6-Max tournament held outside of the World Series of Poker.

Team Pro Delmas Eliminates a Player

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Adrien Delmas
Adrien Delmas

Joining the ranks of Winamax Team Pro in January 2018, Adrien Delmas is just 22 and it seems that his fellow Team Pros have finally got around to welcoming him to the team.

Sporting a helmet, and carrying a sword and shield, Delmas looks every bit the dashing knight.

"It's hazing," said Delmas. "For joining the Team Pro! They're just a bit late."

Whatever the reason it seems to be doing the trick, with Delmas sitting on just over 150,000 after eliminating a player all-in pre-flop when his {6-}{6-} held against his opponent's {4-}{4-}
