Winamax Poker Open Festivities Schedule

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Winamax Poker Open Dublin
Winamax Poker Open Dublin

Here at the tenth anniversary of the Winamax Poker Open Dublin, there's plenty on offer away from the poker tables starting tonight with the Irish Party.

We've heard rumours of a rodeo-sheep (!) and a local folk group; whatever happens there will surely be a crazy night in store. Here's what else is in store for the rest of the festival:

Thursday: Winamax Beer Pong Open

The one, the only Winamax Beer Pong Open. For some, this is the true Main Event of the WPO, a tournament almost as eagerly anticipated as the World Cup or the Olympics, a test of endurance after months of intensive training. Registration on the day. Warning: limited space available!

Friday: Solo Beer Pong

Same thing as the day before, but even crazier: you play alone and… with a single cup.

Saturday: Grand Quiz

Featuring tons of crazy games and challenges, teams of five will battle one another to emerge as the winners of the Grand Quiz.

Sunday: Closing Party

All good things must come to an end, sadly, and the Closing Party is sure to be the biggest bang to bring the tenth anniversary to a close. Players, tournament officials, staff and dealers - all are invited!

McDermott into the Lead

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sven McDermott has cashed in the last two of the last three Winamax Poker Open Main Events, including a fifth place finish in 2016 for €22,700.

He's now got a healthy stack of close to 700,000 midway through Level 14.

Zebib Up to 600k

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Samuel Baneham raised to 11,000 and Bassel Zebib defended his big blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and both players checked. Zebib bet 5,000 on the {7-Diamonds} turn and Baneham called.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Zebib bet 5,000 again and Baneham called.

Zebib showed {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} for two pair and Baneham mucked.

Action was on a {4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades} board, with Michael Graydon checking to Davidi Kitai who bet 17,500. Graydon called and checked the {4-Spades} river to the Belgian.

Kitai checked back, and mucked his hand when Graydon turned over {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} for top pair.
