Caluori Eliminated in Brutal Fashion

Level 24 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jean-Luc Caluori opened and was three-bet by Carl Dobrzelewski. Caluori tanked for several minutes before calling.

The flop came {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Caluori checked to Dobrzelewski who bet 100,000. Caluori tanked for another five minutes or so before announcing all in for only five big blinds more. Dobrzelewski snap-called.

Jean-Luc Caluori: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Carl Dobrzelewski: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Caluori had deliberated long and hard and eventually had made the right call. However, that was to be all for naught as the turn {a-Diamonds} gave his opponent top pair. Caluori instantly got to his feet and vacated the tournament area before the {5-Hearts} river came.

Break Two Off the Money

Level 23 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

With play three eliminations off the money and three hands still to finish, there was a chance that players could go on break all in the money.

However, pocket aces {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} held for Stephane Leblanc against {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, and {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} held for Jerome Dupont against {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}.

The third hand was between Kevin Loupiac holding {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} on a {3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{2-Hearts} for a set of threes against Bruno Barbera's {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Barbera needed a queen but the {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} runout was not forthcoming and he was eliminated.

Players are going on a 15-minute break.
