Nunez Arguello Knocks Out Sanchez Esteban

Level 19 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

A river move on the {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Spades}{k-Clubs} board backfired for Javier Sanchez Esteban as his jam was looked up by fellow countryman Hector Nunez Arguello. The latter showed the {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for the nuts and Sanchez Esteban briefly flashed one of his cards, which happened to be the {5-Hearts} before the stacks were counted.

Nunez Arguello had more than 120,000 and that covered by a small margin to reduce the field by one.

Gallois Loses Massive Pot to Gonzalez

Level 19 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jose Manuel Gonzalez
Jose Manuel Gonzalez

"These Spanish guys don't fold," Hadrien Gallois said with a dry smile on the face after he was just involved in a very large pot with Jose Manuel Gonzalez. Heading to the {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Hearts} river, they had heaps of blue T-5,000 chips in the middle and it was Gallois who fired a bet worth 200,000.

Gonzalez snap-called and was shown the {q-Spades}{9-Spades} by Gallois, as he confidently rolled over the {j-Spades}{9-Clubs} for just the rivered top pair in order to drag in the huge pot and claim the lead. According to Gallois and Gonzalez, the Spaniard had check-raised the flop and bet the turn which led to the giant swing in chips.

Haouisee Successfully Flips Against Corbacho

Level 19 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The pocket sevens of David Corbacho were already mucked as he paid off Enrique Haouisee, who had doubled for 122,500 in a preflop contest. For Haouisee, the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} were golden as they connected with the {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board to lock up the double.

Morel Loses Some to Eijo Santos

Level 18 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Heads-up to the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} turn, Jean-Philippe Morel checked and called a bet worth 27,000 by Francisco Eijo Santos. As the {10-Spades} fell on the river, both players checked and Morel tabled the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for a pair of tens.

Eijo Santos had that beat with the {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for a set and raked in the pot.
