Welcome to Day 1b of The Winamax Poker Open Bratislava €500 Main Event
Yesterday's action from the Winamax Poker Open Bratislava €500 Main Event at Banco Casino saw 427 hopeful entries take their shot at achieving WPO Glory, however only 71 players made it through the first starting flight. Yohan Gornadha had made it through from Day 1a but declared his short stack in the hopes of spinning up something bigger in the other Day 1 flights.
France's Benjamin Gros (822,000) topped the counts from Day 1a and was the only player to bag a stack over 800,000. Notable names joining him in Day 2 include Winamax Team Pro Pierre Calamusa (270,000) and Nicolas Vayssieres (122,000).
Calamusa was the only Winamax Team Pro to make it through as the likes of Romain Lewis, Bruno Lopes, Gaelle Baumann, Alejandro Romero, Guillaume Diaz, Alexane Najchaus and Loic Debregeas were unable to bag and tag a stack for the Main Event's second stage.
Each of players who advanced from Day 1a locked up the min-cash, which will be announced when Day 2 begins.
Today's entries for the Main Event will start with a 50,000 starting stack, with levels going up every 30-minutes. Players are allowed one reentry per Day 1, with late registration closing at the end of Level 13 (approx. 6:50 p.m. CEST). Player breaks will take place every 4 levels and all of the starting flights will close when players are in the money. Day 2 will get underway on the level after the earliest Day 1 finish.
