Matti Mucks First to Act

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Frederic Bebon opened to 4,500 from the button, and Illane Matti called in the big blind.

The Q106 flop was checked to the J turn, where Matti led out with a bet of 4,300. Bebon quickly called.

The A hit on the river, and was quickly checked through. Despite the fact there had been no action, Matti sent his hand straight into the muck first to act.

"No showdown value", quipped a table mate, teasing Matti. Bebon certainly wasn't complaining, and didn't show his cards.

Remaud Loses the Absolute Minimum

Level 10 : Blinds 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

A big pot of 75,000 had developed on a completed board of QJ5Q10, in a hand between Jean-Charles Remaud on the button and Essersi Salah in the small blind.

Salah had put out a bet of 20,000, and Remaud was mulling things over. He spent around two minutes peering at the board and his opponent, then said "I can't pass" and called with 55 for the full house.

Salah tabled QJ for the higher full house, and complimented Remaud effuzely on not going broke.
