Campanello Cracks Aces

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Bryan Campanello was facing an 8,000 raise pre-flop and made it 15,000 to go. The original raiser made the call and the two would see a flop of {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. It was checked to Campanello who bet 9,000 and was called by his foe. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and Campanello would bet 18,000 this time when his opponent checked.

A check-raise came from his opponent for a total of 50,500 and Campanello made the call with {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} which would be trailing the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} his opponent held. Campanello did have a diamond flush draw though and that would be how he would win the hand when the {7-Diamonds} hit the river.

The recent World Series of Poker bracelet winner moved to 180,000 with that pot.

Posey Wins Most of Action-Filled Hand

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

A crowd had gathered around the table and with good reason. Two short-stacked players were all in creating a main pot of approximately 55,000 and a side pot of close to 75,000. On the flop of {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, the player in Seat 10 made a bet of 44,300. Kevin Posey, one spot over, moved all in for 79,700 more.

The player in Seat 10 tanked for quite some time, counting out the call, and looking back at his cards numerous times before eventually folding. The remaining three players hands were turned over:

Seat 5: {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Seat 6: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Posey: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The player in Seat 5 said "how about the {4-Hearts}" in hopes of making a straight with the flush draw but the turn was instead the {J-Spades} to give Posey a set of jacks.

The river was the {4-Diamonds} which gave the player in Seat 5 a straight and the main pot of 55,000. Posey would get the rest, knocking out the player in Seat 6.

"I think he had me beat," Posey said, referring to the player in Seat 10 who had folded on the flop, as he stacked his chips.

Nguyen Doubles

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We arrived at the table in time to find Huy Nguyen all in and at risk for his last 25,800 on a flop of {8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

"Alright," said his opponent. "I'm going to gamble."

He tossed out a call and the hands were turned on their backs.

Nguyen: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Opponent: {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The board finished with the {3-Clubs} and the {3-Hearts}, allowing Nguyen's hand to hold up. He was pushed the pot and now sits on about 74,000.

Cowboys For Kogel

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Nate Kogel raised to 6,000 from early position and action folded around to the big blind. He tossed out a call and the flop came down {8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. The big blind checked to the raiser and Kogel continued out for 8,500. His opponent quickly called, allowing the {4-Spades} to touch down on the turn. Kogel's opponent check-called once again - this time to the tune of 16,000.

The river was the {J-Spades} and Kogel's opponent checked one final time. Kogel bet 25,000, his opponent called, and Kogel confidently rolled over {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Kogel's opponent mucked and Kogel was pushed the pot. He now sits on about 155,000.

Chris Neal opened the action to 6,700 from early position and everyone folded. The very next hand he decided to mix it up and limped in. One other player limped as well and the big blind checked his option. Neal would take it down with a 5,300 bet on the {K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop building his stack to an impressive 380,000 — which looks to be the lead in the room at this point of the evening.
