Bazeley Bested

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

A late-positioned player raised to 6,500 and found calls from the player in the small blind and Jacob Bazeley in the big blind. The trio saw {6-Clubs}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds} fall and all three players checked to see fourth street.

The turn was the {3-Spades} and the small blind checked once more. Bazeley took this opportunity to bet 9,000. The original raiser called and the small blind folded. The {J-Hearts} finished off the board and Bazeley slowed down. His opponent bet 22,000, sending Bazeley into the tank. After about a minute, Bazeley reached for chips and dropped out a call.

Bazeley's opponent tabled {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for top pair. This was good enough to take down the pot and leave Bazeley with 37,000 in chips.

Rusnak Takes Some From Blair

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We got to the table with approximately 25,000 already in the pot and Frank Rusnak checking the {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop. Eric Blair bet 11,200 and Rusnak made the call.

The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Rusnak led out for 26,500 and Blair snap-folded. That pot brought Rusnak up to 260,000 while Blair slipped a bit to 100,000.

Baker Busts One

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We arrived just in time to see a short stacked player all in and at risk before the flop for what appeared to be around 15,000 against David "ODB" Baker. Baker held {A-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and was in a dominating position against his opponent's {A-Clubs}{6-Hearts}.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and Baker was shipped the chips. He now has about 66,000 to his name.

Wallace Gets It In Good But It's Not Enough

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

A player in Seat 5 opened for 6,200 and Sean Wallace moved all in for 24,000. Brandon Steven in the big blind tanked for a while before saying "I fold" and handing his cards to the dealer. The original raiser made the call and turned over {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} which was behind Wallace's {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}.

The flop of {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} would not be good for Wallace and he was unable to improve on the {5-Diamonds} turn and {K-Hearts} river. The friendly pro wished everyone good luck and gathered his things.

Willerson Slips

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The under-the-gun player limped and action then folded around to Jim Willerson in the hijack. He raised to 8,200, prompting folds back to the limper. He called and the two were heads up to the flop.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{10-Spades} and Willerson's opponent immediately reached for chips and fired 15,000. Willerson stuck around and the {6-Spades} hit the felt on fourth street. Willerson's opponent slowed with a check and the World Series of Poker bracelet winner did the same. The {10-Hearts} finished off the board and there were two more checks, prompting a showdown. Willerson's opponent tabled {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs} for kings and tens. This was good enough to take it down and Willerson's stack dropped to about 48,000.

Breyfogle Gives One Up

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With a raise of 5,500 in front of him, Todd Breyfogle three-bet it to 14,000. It was folded back to the original raiser who made the call. The flop came {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Breyfogle's opponent led out for 20,000 after getting a peek at how many chips Breyfogle had behind. It didn't take long for Breyfogle to toss his cards into the muck as that would have been for more than half his stack. He was left with 38,000 at the completion of the hand.
