Minkin Loses Four-Bet Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

A player opened to 600 in early position and got one caller before Kelly Minkin made it 2,000 to go on the button. The opener came back with 5,500 after the blinds folded, and Minkin called. She called a barrel of 5,000 on the {5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and both checked the {k-Clubs} turn. The opener fired 10,000 on the {a-Hearts} river and Minkin snap-folded.

All of these players are firing here on Day 1b after bricking Day 1a. Maria Ho is off to a roaring start with about two starting stacks, far better than she did yesterday when she was playing at a deficit almost immediately.

Value for Himmelbrand

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Greg Himmelbrand bet 1,500 on a board of {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} in middle position and got a call from an opponent on the button. He fired 2,600 on the {4-Hearts} river, and his opponent looked him up. Himmelbrand showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the full house was good.

At another table, James "Big Show" Calderaro and John Gordon grabbed seats next to each other.

Players are on break for 15 minutes.

"Money Card"

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
WinStar River Poker Series Day 1b
WinStar River Poker Series Day 1b

We found Zach Donovan all in for 17,725 on a board of {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. A player in the cutoff had bet 2,100 and been called by opponents on the button and in the big blind before Donovan jammed. The bettor tanked awhile and mucked, but the player on the button called. The big blind shoved all in, and the player on the button called.

Donovan: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Button: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Big blind: {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Donovan was in a fantastic position fading only chops, and the river was a harmless {2-Diamonds}. The cutoff said he folded a set of jacks.

"Money card," Donovan said with a smile, pointing at the {8-Hearts}.
