Ector Doubles Through Tolbert

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

We found Clint Tolbert considering the all-in check-raise of Ben Ector on a board of {6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Tolbert had fired 7,200 into a pot of about 17,000 on the river, and Ector shoved all in from middle position. Tolbert tanked a few minutes and called, and Ector showed him {q-Spades}{10-Hearts} for the nuts.

Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen got the last of his stack, about 15,000, in preflop with {a-}{q-} but ran into an opponent holding {a-}{k-}. Both players bricked the board, leaving the king kicker as a winner.

At two other tables, Johanssy Joseph and Brian Green went bust and reentered.

Tepen Doesn't Fold to the Click

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Ryan Tepen bet 6,000 in the cutoff on a board of {4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{9-Spades} and an opponent in middle position raised to 12,000. Tepen took awhile and then decided to call. The river was an {a-Diamonds} and the first player checked. Tepen moved all in for 23,750 effective, and his opponent took his turn to tank a few minutes before mucking.

Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

A player fired 6,000 into a 7,500 pot from middle position, and Chino Rheem made it 20,000 in the cutoff on the {6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop. A third player folded. The bettor tanked awhile and then mucked {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} face-up, eliciting gasps from the table.

"Will you show me?" he asked Rheem.

"I'll just put it to you this way: you had the best hand," Rheem said. "I could have beat you, but you had the best hand."

Kessler Doubles Up, Defies History

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

A very short stacked Allen Kessler moved all in preflop holding {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and found a call from a player holding {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The flop was bad news for Kessler when it came {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, but he was drawing live. The board finished {9-Spades}{K-Spades}, Kessler made a pair of kings and doubled up just before break.
