Wagner Goes From Bluffing To Catching a Bluff

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

A player raised to 1,100 from middle position, and Patrick Wagner three-bet to 2,400 from the cutoff. The middle position player called.

On the {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop, the middle position player checked, and Wagner bet 3,500. The middle positon player called again.

Both players checked the {9-Spades} turn, and the middle position player fired 5,000 on the {6-Hearts} river. Wagner immediately called, and his opponent said, "You got a winner, I got ace-high," before rolling over {a-Spades}{5-Spades}. Wagner tabled {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a turned pair of nines and took down the pot.

Harris Dulls Sharpe

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Justin Sharpe raised to 700 from early position, and found a lone caller in Tim Harris in the cutoff.

Sharpe bet 500 on the {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop, and Harris called.

The {a-Spades} turn saw Sharpe bet 1,300, and Harris raised to 3,300. Sharpe made the call.

Both players checked the {8-Clubs} river, and Sharpe announced, "Two pair," before tabling {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Harris had that bested, however, as he showed {j-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flopped straight and the winner.

"Nice hand, sir," Sharpe told Harris after the hand.

Another Chapter in the Minkin and Wang Chronicles

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Just before the break, there was around 8,000 in the pot on a board of {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Micheal Wang had a bet of 4,200 out in front of him from the small blind. Action was back on him after Kelly Minkin had gone all in for 11,400 from the cutoff.
Wang was deep in the tank.

"What do your cards say, Mikey?" Minkin toyed.

There was a light energy on both sides of the table as the two faced yet another chapter in their battle at the felt. Another player at the table noted it, saying to Minkin that she loved to press Wang's buttons as she awaited his decision. Eventually, Wang folded.

"Wow, Mikey!" said Minkin as she waited for the pot. She showed {a-Hearts}.

"Table change!" said Wang as the clock wound down and the first break of the day begain.

Minkin Runs Into a Set

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

With the full {9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades} board already on the felt, Steven Woody announced a bet of 12,000, but began placing all of his 17,500 stack into the pot after doing so, which was more than the 12,000 he had declared. Kelly Minkin, his opponent in the hand, confirmed that the amount bet was 12,000, then grabbed twelve yellow chips from her stack and called.

Woody turned over {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} for bottom set, causing Minkin to raise a brow in surprise before slowly pushing her hand to the muck.

Sample Gets Paid with the Nuts

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

There was 5,600 in the pot on a board of {5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Darryl Sample checked in the small blind. His opponent was in middle position and bet 2,000. Sample went all in for 12,700.

His opponent thought for some time before asking if he had hit a flush. After asking, he threw in chips to call.

Sample tabled his hand to confirm a flush, showing {a-Spades}{10-Spades}. His opponent showed {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a turned straight and paid off the remaining chips he owed as Sample sat awaiting payment for his double.
