Nagabhairava Finds Treys Up Good

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

A player in early position limped in and saw the hijack raise to 1,500. Action folded to the small blind, who called, and Venkat Nagabhairava defended his big blind.

Action went four ways to the flop {4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs} and the first three players to act checked. The hijack made a continuation-bet of 1,500 and the small blind folded. Nagabhairava called and the early-position player folded, taking action heads up to the turn {3-Diamonds}.

Nagabhairava checked again and the hijack fired another 1,500-chip barrel. Nagabhairava called. Both players checked to showdown after the river {2-Hearts}.

The hijack tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} after checking back and Nagabhairava showed {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, good for treys and deuces and the pot to go along with it.

Rodriguez Re-Enters

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

After being eliminated from the tournament, Eluterio Rodriguez was seen in a new seat with a new stack in front of him. He recently played a small pot where he opened to 1,200 from middle position and saw the big blind defend to take action heads up to the flop {j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

The big blind checked to Rodriguez, who put out a continuation-bet of 1,600 and got a fold, resulting in a small score for him early during bullet number two.

Woody Continues to Climb

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Kelly Minkin raised to 1,100 from the cutoff, and was called by the button, as well as Steven Woody in the big blind.

Woody checked the {9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{a-Spades} flop over to Minkin, who bet 1,700. Both the button and Woody called.

All three players checked the {7-Spades} turn, and Woody bet 10,000 when the {8-Spades} hit the river. Minkin folded, and the button said, "Shitty runout," before turning over his {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and folding.

Onimole Gets Three Streets

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante
Babatunde Onimole
Babatunde Onimole

The player on the button saw action folded to him and limped in. The small blind then completed and Babatunde Onimole checked his option. The three saw a flop of {q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and the small blind checked. Onimole bet 800, getting a fold from the player on the button and a call from the small blind.

With action heads up, the turn came {9-Clubs}. The small blind checked and then called another bet of 1,600 from Onimole. The dealer then burned and turned the river {a-Diamonds} and the small blind checked to Onimole once more. He tossed out two yellow T1,000 chips and was quickly called.

Onimole tabled {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} for aces up and his opponent mucked, resulting in the pot being sent his way.

Berry and Mackey Both Starting Strong

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

Will Berry raised to 700 in middle position, and was called by the button, as well as both of the blinds.

The {q-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop was checked over to Berry, who bet 900. All three of his opponents quickly folded, and Berry, who late regged into today's Day 1b flight, has already chipped up nicely in the short time he's been in attendance.

In addition, James Mackey, who just recently entered the tournament himself, has already found a double and sits with more than twice the starting stack just minutes into his Day 1b entry.

Montalbano Gets Lucky to Double

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

A player raised to 1,500 from middle position, and was called by the hijack. Herbert Montalbano three-bet shoved for 13,800 in the small blind, and the middle position player tanked for a minute before calling, while the hijack ducked out of the way.

Herbert Montalbano: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Opponent: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

"Well, I had nine-eight too, so no more eights," one of the players remarked.

The {6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop gave Montalbano a gutshot to go with his overcard, and while he bricked the {5-Clubs} turn, the {7-Spades} river delivered Montalbano his straight and the double.

Six To Flop; Lampley Wins

Level 4 : 200/300, 300 ante

There was a pot that saw six players commit 1,000 each before a flop of {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. All six of those players checked and the turn came {10-Hearts}. The big blind was first to act, leading out for 1,000. The next four players folded, putting action on Ira Lampley, who was last to act on the button. He called.

The river came {q-Clubs} and the big blind checked. Lampley threw out a bet of 3,200 and the big blind folded, resulting in him taking down the pot without showdown.
