Pushing Back Against Ho

In a raised pot with the flop reading {8-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, the small blind checked and Maria Ho checked from the big blind as well. The original raiser continued out for 1,500 and the small blind quickly got out of the way.

Ho, however, dipped into her stack and came out with a check-raise to 3,400. Her opponent called and the {8-Hearts} paired the board on the turn. Ho bet 4,600 and her opponent responded by moving all in. Ho released her hand and watched as the pot was pushed to the other side of the table. She is currently sporting a stack of about 34,000.

Conrad Busts Moneymaker and Another

A player in middle position opened to 1,300 and Chris Conrad called from the next seat. Action folded to Chris Moneymaker in the big blind and he moved all in for 10,200. The raiser folded, Conrad called, and the hands were revealed.

Showdown

Conrad: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}
Moneymaker: {Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board rolled out {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, ending Moneymaker's Day 1b.

The following hand, Conrad picked up {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} and busted an opponent who called all in for about 20,000 with {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} following Conrad's four-bet. The board fell {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} as Conrad rivered the flush to collect the pot after falling behind on the flop.

Bullets For Wright

Larry Wright opened with a raise to 2,100 and was called by the player in the hijack. The small blind three-bet all in for 10,400 and Wright flat called. The hijack called as well, prompting the dealer to tap the table and produce a flop.

The three players saw {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts} fall and Wright took charge by betting out 7,000. After tanking, his opponent in the hijack got out of the way and Wright triumphantly showed {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} which was way ahead of the all in player's {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

Wright opponent picked up flush outs when the {Q-Hearts} turned, but ultimately was eliminated when the {9-Diamonds} completed the board on the river. From that win, Wright is now sitting on a stack of about 62,000.
