Moneymaker Does It Again

Chris Moneymaker opened to 8,000 and it folded around to the short stacked player in the big blind who opted to call.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and the big blind checked. Moneymaker pushed out a continuation bet of 10,000 only to have his opponent move all in for a little over 20,000 total. Moneymaker shrugged and called with {A-Spades}{3-Spades} for ace high which was trailing his opponent's flopped top pair with {Q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}.

The dealer pounded the table and just like that the {A-Hearts} rolled off on the turn giving Moneymaker the lead. The {K-Spades} completed the board and Moneymaker was able to bring us one elimination closer to cashing.

Moneymaker turned around and saw our reporter standing to record the hand and the entire table burst out in laughter as Moneymaker once again proclaimed that PokerNews is only around when he gets his money in bad. Once again, regardless of how he does it he's currently sitting on chips and is looking healthy with about 140,000.

Big Stacks

Zhmutski Doubles

We arrived at the table to find over 120,000 in chips in the center of the table. Peter Zhmutski moved all in on a board of {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for his last 71,000. His opponent pondered for over a minute before finally shrugging and announcing a call.

Zhmutski: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Opponent: {6-Spades}{3-Spades}

Zhmutski would need to fade a spade or a five heading to fifth street. The dealer tapped the table and produced the {Q-Diamonds}, sending Zhmutski into a victory fist pump. With that win he's now sitting on a stack of about 305,000.

Salaburu Loses a Flip

Robert Salaburu just shipped 36,500 to an opponent after his {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} failed to hit against his opponent's {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} when the board ran out {J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}.

McClelland Bests Burbick

We caught up to find Anne McClelland and Corey Burbick seeing a flop together in a raised pot. McClelland checked her option on the {Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop and Burbick took the opportunity to fire a bet of 7,500. McClelland called and the dealer produced the {3-Spades} on the turn.

McClelland took control of the betting by throwing out 15,000 and Burbick quickly got rid of his hand. With this win McClelland is now sitting atop a mound of 250,000 in chips.

More For Massey

Aaron Massey opened to 7,000 in early position and action folded to Cord Garcia in the small blind. He three-bet to 22,000 and when action was back on Massey, he didn't waste much time before re-raising all in.

Garcia gave it up after a few moments and Massey showed him {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}.
