Taylor Shoves and Shoves

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Stuart Taylor has been the short stack for a while but has shoved several times, applying pressure to add to his stack until someone decides to take a chance against him.

Bellerive crosses three million again, and Tam Ho and Taylor are within seven and a half big blinds of each other.

Ho Trying to Close the Gap

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Luc Bellerive raised to 100,000 on the button and Tam Ho defended his big blind.

The flop came {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Ho checked. Bellerive bet 75,000 and Ho check-raised to 150,000. Bellerive called. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and Ho led out for 125,000. Bellerive called.

The river was the {5-Diamonds} and both players checked.

Ho tabled {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for nines full of fives and Bellerive mucked.

Taylor Flops Huge to Double

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Stuart Taylor moved all-in on the button for 520,000 and Luc Bellerive put him at risk, calling from the big blind.

Taylor: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Bellerive: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

A {4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop smacked Taylor, giving him a flush. The {j-Diamonds} on the turn gave Bellerive outs to a full house but Taylor was able to fade the {7-Clubs} on the river a drag in a massive double up.

The three remaining players have completed the first two levels of the day and have been sent on a 15-minute break.

Ho Takes Over the Chip Lead After Playing a Big One

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

With about 250,000 in the pot, on a board reading {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{2-Spades}, Tam Ho led out for 225,000 from the small blind. Luc Bellerive was in the big blind and raised to 625,000. Ho came over the top and re-raised to 1,400,000.

Bellerive looked pained by the decision and Ho was on his feet. After several minutes, Bellerive began talking things out to himself. Eventually, he folded.

Ho raked in the pot and Stuart Taylor asked, "Did you fold a flush?" Bellerive nodded and Ho said "I only had a king!"

Ho now leads with more than half of the chips in play and Bellerive dropped into second. Taylor is still the short stack.

Bellerive Holds More Than Half of the Chips in Play

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The three players are playing lots of small ball, but chip leader Luc Bellerive has been doing the heavy lifting. He has extended his lead to hold more than half of the 5.7 million chips in play.

Tam Ho is second in chips, while Stuart Taylor is the short stack.
