On His Marrie Way to a Comeback

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jonathan Marrie moved all-in from the hijack for 151,000 and action folded to Ha Van Nguyen in the big blind. He asked for a count and Marrie said "Gamble gamble", to which Nguyen replied, "I don't wanna double you up!" "Or you wanna bust me" responded Marrie. "I don't like to bust people. It's not my style."

Eventually, Nguyen called. Marrie tabled {a-Spades}{k-Spades}, up against Nguyen's {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. "You have to call that. I have five bigs. I'm shoving with any ace" said Marrie.

The flop came {7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Marrie flopped a flush draw, taking away one of Nguyen's tens as an out. The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Marrie locked up the pot. The dealer put out the insignificant {q-Spades} on the river and Marrie doubled through.
