On the flop of a board, Sam Chartier bet 12,000 and called a check-raise from Douglas Watson of 40,000.
The fell on the turn and Watson bet 50,000. Chartier called, bringing the on the river. Watson checked and Chartier moved all-in. Watson thought briefly before making the call, putting himself at risk.
Chartier tabled , making a straight on the river and Watson mucked, exiting in 18th place.
Action folded to Sam Chartier in the hijack and he raised it to 18,000. Gregory Hartwick called on the button and the action was now on Michael Malm in the small blind. He wasted no time and three-bet to 85,000. Chartier went into the tank and after a couple of minutes he four-bet to 162,000. Hartwick folded and action was back on Malm.
Malm went into the tank, took a sip of water and thought it out. After a few minutes he opted to fold. "Nice hand. I think I folded the best hand." Chartier smiled and replied, "Maybe. Maybe not."
