Day 1b of the Playground1000 Gets Underway at Noon

Day 1b of the Playground1000 gets underway at noon local time on Saturday inside Playground Poker Club. Players will put up $1,100 with the hope of banking their share of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. The third of five qualifying flights, the field currently sits at 197 entries after Day 1a and the online Day 1 on partypoker.

Georges Halak set the mark on Friday at Playground, bagging a monstrous 626,500 to close out Day 1a. Benoit Lord (453,800), Samuel Chartier (451,200), and Terris Preston (403,900) have the next biggest stacks on the leaderboard.

With re-entries available, though limited to one per day, some of the players busting on Day 1a and able to fire again this afternoon include Pierre Paul Paulin, Peter Chien, Isabelle Tremblay, Patrick Braga, Jeff Cormier, Fabio Luongo, David Ormsby and Jiachen Gong.

Play is scheduled for nine 60-minute levels on Day 1b. A 15-minute break will follow every second level with a 45-minute dinner break set after Level 6. There is a buffet dinner provided during the dinner break.
