The 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jonathan Duhamel was enjoying a good start to the day until he ran into Yannick Harvey.
We approached the table as the dealer was cutting down Harvey' stack. In front of them lay a board and sat face-up beside Harvey. Duhamel's cards had already been flipped over but an all-in plaque in front of both players told the story.
Harvey's all-in was for about 97,000 and Duhamel paid the price.
We arrived at the table as Marc Etienne Mclaughlin was making a call of 15,000 on the river of a board. Carla Sabini had made the bet and Samuel Tsehai had flatted.
Sabini tabled a pair of kings forcing Tsehai to muck but Mclaughlin had Sabini out-kicked turning over to scoop the pot.
On the turn of a board with about 11,000 in the middle, Senthuran Vijayaratnam raised a bet of 5,500 by his heads-up opponent to 15,100 and his opponent called.
The completed the board on the river and Vijayaratnam fired a bet worth 35,300 which was enough to force a fold from his opponent.
There was about 4,000 in the middle when the flop fanned out. Marc Etienne Mclaughlin checked and his opponent bet 1,800. Mclaughlin raised to 6,100 and his opponent called.
The fell on the turn and Mclaughlin lead with a pot-sized bet of 16,000 and took down the pot.
