Jacob Lafleur Doubles Up Sagar Shetye, Eliminated Shortly After in 9th Place ($1,750)

Level 28 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Jacob Lafleur
Jacob Lafleur

Sagar Shetye shoved the turn on Jacob Lafleur with the board reading {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Lafleur called.

Lafeur had {j-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a pair and a flush draw with a gut-shot straight draw. Shetye showed {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for an already made straight. The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Shetye clapped his hands once loudly in celebration. That pot left Lafleur as the short stack.

Hand #2:

Shortly after that he got all in against Nick-Real Seide and managed to river a chop when the board came {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Seide had {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades} against the {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} of Lafleur and Lafleur was walking away from the table while his hand was mucked, until the dealer called him back to the table and chopped the pot.

Hand #3:

Then he got all in against Samuel Chaput with {a-Clubs}{4-Spades} against Chaput's {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}. The board ran out {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, momentarily flirting with the idea of bringing another chop.

At the start of play, Lafleur had Shetye all in and at risk, but the board paired on the river, giving both players the same full house and they would split the pot between them.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades}{q-Hearts} and Seide caught a queen on the river to win the pot and eliminate Bonneau.

Sagar Shetye smacked the felt with his open palm as soon as he saw Jacob Lafleur's hand.

The two players got all in on a board of {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Lafleur turned over {a-}{j-}, which was better than Shetye's {a-}{9-}, but the river was the {8-Clubs}, giving both players a full house, aces full of eights and half the pot.

The next hand, Lafleur led for 500,000 into Tommy Coulombe with the flop reading {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

"I have to call," said Lefleur.

Lafleur called and showed {a-}{k-} against the {q-}{q-} of Coulombe. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and the river was the {5-Spades}, giving Coulombe a full house and the double up.
