Here a Julien, There a Julien

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Julien Aubin and Julien Giguere both got all in preflop with short stacks and only one of them doubled up.

  • Julien Giguere shoved all in under the gun with {j-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Brent Bidan reshoved from the button with {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The board ran out with four spades in a row, {6-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{k-Clubs}, giving Bidan a flush and sending Giguere to the rail.
  • At the table next door, Julien Aubin was all in with {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} against Justin Rabba who had {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The board ran out {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Hearts}{a-Spades} and Aubin doubled up.

Updated Counts, Boczek and Ranger Out

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

According to the table, Marie-Peir Simard was down to 5,000 chips and has worked back up to over 300,000.

Joey Boczek, who is making a run at the tournament leaderboard for the World Cup of Cards, busted the Canadian Grand Prix after missing a draw to triple up. He then got an extra needle as he collected his payout, and busted {a-}{k-} to {a-}{q-} in an online tournament three-handed. The top two spots won a travel package from partypoker.

He still has a shot at a trip if he wins the WCC Leaderboard. It definitely won't be the last we see of "Birdman" at the WCC.

Tina Howie Holds With Jacks in Three-Way All In

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Tina Howie just won a big pot in a three-way all in. She held {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} against two players. One held {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and the other, {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}.

As the flop came out, Howie called the board she wanted to see.

"Make it king, nine, deuce," she said, "then realizing that she didn't want a king."

The flop came {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and then she was calling for the board to pair.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and the river was the {10-Clubs}. She won the hand and sent both, Vincen Genon, {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, and Kenneth Lingren, {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, to the rail.
