Dave Jeanneau-Cyr Wins Dealer's Choice 8-Max, Again; Fourth World Cup of Cards Title for $4,326

Event #21: Dealer's Choice 8-Max Champion, Dave Jeanneau-Cyr ($4,326)
Event #21: Dealer's Choice 8-Max Champion, Dave Jeanneau-Cyr ($4,326)

Dave Jeanneau-Cyr is having an incredible World Cup of Cards (WCC). Picking up his fourth title of the festival, Jeanneau-Cyr's latest victory came in Event #21: $220 Dealer's Choice 8-Max. This was his second dealer's choice title of the WCC and fourth in just the last nine days. Jeanneau-Cyr added another $4,326 to his tally after besting a field of 79 on Wednesday night.

Also making their second or better final table appearance were Glen Hammers, Matthew Bracanovic, and Felix-Antoine Legault. Here are the final results from the final table.

The final table was set with a wild three-way all-in 5-card PLO hand between Felix-Antoine Legault, Daniel Temple, and Alberto Scuderi. Legault had both players all-in and at risk preflop. Players from both tables gathered around to watch the drama unfold. When the dust settled, Legault had made a fullhouse with ten-four and busted both players.

Temple should have bubbled but moments before the remaining nine players decided to remove $100 from the top three prizes and pay the bubble $300. Scuderi had more chips and took eighth place prize money. Sean Hollohan was the first eliminated from the final table in seventh. Johnathan Hansmeyer was next to go, in a 5-card PLO hand, Hansmeyer got all-in against Matthew Bracanovic. Bracanovic turned a straight and Hansmeyer let the whole room know, letting out a massive groan.

Jeanneau-Cyr then took over. Just hours after Bracanovic finished fourth in Event #20, he was expelled in fifth in Event #21. Jeanneau-Cyr put Bracanovic all-in and at risk preflop with pocket tens against the king-queen of spades for Bracanovic. Bracanovic hit a flush on the turn but unfortunately the turn card gave Jeanneau-Cyr a fullhouse.

Misha Olof Peters was Jeanneau-Cyr's next victim. Shoving king-six of clubs, Peters ran into the ace-queen of Jeanneau-Cyr and was unable to improve.

Nine days ago, Jeanneau-Cyr eliminated Glen Hammers in third place on route to capturing his first dealer's choice title, it was deja vu for Hammers Wednesday, as once again, he busted to Jeanneau-Cyr in third place. This exit may have been a bit more painful though as hammers got it in good with king-jack, dominated Jeanneau-Cyr's king-two. Almost as if it was expected, Jeanneau-Cyr spiked a deuce and that was the end of Hammers.

After exchanging the chip lead a couple times, Jeanneau-Cyr's bid would not be taken away. On the final hand, Felix-Antoine Legault was all-in preflop with {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, behind the {a-Spades}{5-Clubs} of Jeanneau-Cyr. The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} and once again, Jeanneau-Cyr's smile and t-shirt were captured in the winner's photo.

Dave Jeanneau-Cyr is on some kind of wild, and destructive heater. Blasting anyone and everyone in his path. Glen Hammers was the latest to fall to the current three-time World Cup of Cards champion.

Jeanneau-Cyr out Hammers at risk preflop holding {k-Hearts}{2-Spades} against Hammers' {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}. As if everyone in the room already knew it was coming, Jeanneau-Cyr spiked a deuce on the {q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board and heads-up play between Jeanneau-Cyr and Felix-Antoine Legault is underway

Peters: {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Jeanneau-Cyr: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Jeanneau-Cyr was ahead and seeking his third straight elimination. The {5-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{q-Spades} gave him top pair but Peters had outs to a flush draw as well as any king. The turn and river however bricked out coming {7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Peters was knocked-out.
