Nine more players have booked their seat in Day 2 of the Quantum No-Limit Hold em Tournament. Rodney Hollett bagged the big stack with 225,300. Saman Rezvani (200,700) was close behind Hollett when the final hand was played.

This was a $170 buy in flight of the Quantum. A few of the flights have had bigger buy ins, and there are still four more starting flights of the Quantum before Day 2 starts September 13th. The Quantum is Event #1 of the World Cup of Cards and spans the entire tournament festival.

The World Cup of Cards is in full gear at the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec. Day 1f of Event #1: NL Hold'em Quantum kicks off at 12 p.m. local time. This is the sixth of ten starting flights, with buyins as low as CAD $170 up to CAD $2,200, which is a direct buy-in to Day 2.

This afternoon's buy-in is $170 with the top 8% of the field qualifying for Day 2. Players will start with 12,000 chips and blinds will increase every 20 minutes until the 10th level, switching to 30 minutes after.

There have been 520 total entries received through the first two starting flights. Just 52 players have booked their seat into Day 2.

Every player who makes Day 2 from any of the Quantum starting flights will receive CAD $400. Players can finish multiple starting flights and take their biggest stack forward. Each time a player makes Day 2 they will earn $400 CAD and $1,500 for each forfeited stack.

This is just the first event on the 28-event schedule. Players will be able to compete all month for their share of the CAD $2,000,000 guaranteed in prize money throughout the World Cup of Cards.
