Family Pot Sees Tran Double

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Yanji Ge limped in from under the gun and was soon followed with limps by Joe Cabret, Brandon Shack-Harris, Darian Tan, Xue Wu and Henry Tran in the small blind before Scott Calcagno checked his option to see all the table 10 players involved in the hand.

On the {3-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Ge bet out 4,500 and only Tan called before Tran check-raised all in for his last 24,500. Ge folded - and later said he held {K-}{K-} - but Tan made the call to put Tran at risk.

Tan: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Tran: {5-Spades}{3-Hearts}

With Tran in the lead with his bottom two pair, he would need to fade a heart and other runner-runner combinations. The turn of the {Q-Spades} and river of the {10-Clubs} would ensure his double to 65,100 as Tan slipped to 130,000 in chips.
