Gill Doubles Short-Stack

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

We arrived at the table to see Oliver Gill raise from the hijack. Craig Dickson then moved all in from the blinds for a small amount and Gill quickly made the call.

Gill: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Dickson: {q-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} to see Dickson make a straight to keep him alive in the tournament.

King Habb

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

The action started with Mikel Habb raising to 1,300 from the hijack. Tobias Reinkemeier made the call from the cut off before David Lim bumped it up to 3,650 from the button. With the decision back on Habb, he moved all in for his remaining 21,425 in chips. Reinkemeier folded his hand and Lim called.

Habb: {A-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Lim: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs} to see Habb spike a king on the flop to double up.

Danzer Pushes on Speidel

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

On a board of {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{2-Spades} with roughly 13,000 in the middle, George Danzer bet out 30,500 to effectively put Oliver Speidel all in for his last 15,125.

The 2012 Aussie Millions Champion went deep into the tank before eventually folding as Danzer scooped the pot and moved to nearly 60,000 in chips.

Shack-Harris Flushes Thomas

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

The table folded around to Brandon Shack-Harris on the button who opened with a raise. Uzziah Thomas then three-bet from the small blind and the big blind folded. Shack-Harris made the call before both players watched the flop come down {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

Both players checked their option as the {6-Spades} fell on the turn. Thomas led out for 2,900 and was called before the {8-Hearts} completed the board. Thomas then check-called a bet of 10,000 from Shack-Harris, but mucked his hand when he was shown {k-Spades}{7-Spades} for the nut flush.

The Ladies Are Unkind to Khouiss

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

We missed the specifics, but we do know Sam Khouiss got his stack all in on a {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop against Patrick Healy.

Khouiss: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Healy: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Khouiss seemed none too pleased to discover his overpair was no good, and he began to mumble as he stood from his chair mid-massage and watched as the {7-Hearts} blanked on the turn followed by the {2-Diamonds} river. Healy's aces held and Khouiss, who finished runner-up in the AU$1,650 Dealer's Choice last week, was sent to the rail.

Hortin Doubles Through Quoss

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Upon the {Q-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} flop, Dylan Hortin was all in with {Q-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} and Fabian Quoss had him barely covered. The German called with {Q-Spades} {7-Clubs} and the {10-Hearts} turn pretty much sealed the double up for Hortin unless a queen would provide a lucky split pot. The {K-Hearts} river didn't make the miracle happen.

Quoss was all in the next hand for 2,600 chips with {Q-Hearts} {6-Hearts} and doubled up against an opponent with {A-Spades} {K-Spades} on a boarf of {3-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}.

No Back-to-Back Final Tables for Thomas

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante
Russell Thomas
Russell Thomas

We arrived at the table with the flop spread out {3-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}. Russell Thomas, who finished eighth in this very event last year, checked his option before Rajesh Sabapathy bet out 3,400. Thomas called and both watched the {2-Diamonds} fall on the turn.

Thomas checked again. Sabapathy quickly threw out 15,000 in chips before Thomas snap-raised all in for approximately 20,000 in chips. He was instantly called.

Thomas: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Sabapathy: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Thomas had run into the set of threes held by Sabapathy and was unable to spike an ace or spade as the meaningless {10-Hearts} completed the board. Thomas was sent to the rail early in today’s proceedings as Sabapathy moves up to 60,000 in chips.
