Todd Straightened Out by Benson

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Sean Todd - 29th place
Sean Todd - 29th place

From the hijack, Sean Todd moved all in for 83,000, and after some initial hesitation, Gary Benson called in the big blind.

Todd: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Benson: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The dealer spread a {10-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} flop and Benson announced, "that's a pretty good flop!"

The {2-Diamonds} and {3-Spades} completed the board on the turn and river to see Todd eliminated in 29th place as Benson climbed to over 200,000.

Montgomery Over a Million

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We arrived at the table just as Kyle Montgomery bet out 32,000 from the small blind on a {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop. Dejan Boskovic was in the cut off and raised it up to 79,000 which was called.

The {9-Diamonds} came on the turn and Montgomery checked his option. Boskovic reached for his chips and bet out 124,000. Montgomery paused for a moment before raising up to 275,000. Boskovic instantly mucked as Montgomery raked in the large pot.

Giuliano Chipping Up

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

From the cutoff, Jason Giuliano opened to 16,000 and Dejan Boskovic called from the small blind as the flop fell {4-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Boskovic check-called 30,000.

The turn of the {7-Hearts} was checked through as the {J-Diamonds} on the river was greeted with a third check from Boskovic before Giuliano bet out 75,000.

Boskovic folded and slipped to under 500,000 as Giuliano climbed to 350,000 in chips.

Shack-Harris Applies The Pressure

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Alexander Antonios raised to 13,000 from under the gun and was called by Brandon Shack-Harris in the blinds. The flop came down {10-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Shack-Harris checked. Antonios then bet out 16,000 before Shack-Harris came over the top with a raise to 43,000. He called as both watched the {4-Diamonds} drop on the turn.

Shack-Harris sat motionless for over a minute before finally reaching down for his chips and splashing out a bet of 60,000 in chips. Antonios then thought for a minute before finally releasing his hand.

Warne Spins a Double

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Baden Logan opened to 12,000 and Shane Warne raised to 33,000. Logan moved all in for 300,000 and Warne called off his 182,500 total.

Logan: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Warne: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The window card of the {K-Diamonds} would seemingly end the hand until the flop filled out {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Spades} to give Logan one out to eliminate Warne.

However, the turn and river of the {6-Diamonds} and {2-Diamonds} ended those dreams as Warne doubled to 375,000 and Logan slipped to 135,000 in chips.

Bad Few Minutes for Chia

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Just one hand later, Joachim Chia defended his big blind against a raise by JJ Liu to 13,000 and another player also called to see the flop of {3-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. Chia check-raised from 13,000 to 29,000 and Liu called after making the continuation bet whereas the other player folded. On the {9-Clubs} turn, Chia moved all in and Liu snap-called for her last 102,000 chips.

Chia: {10-Clubs} {5-Clubs}
Liu: {10-Spades} {10-Hearts}

No card could help to avoid a further setback for Chia and he jumped out of his seat while the dealer burned and turned the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Another player on the table said "unlucky there" and Chia simply replied with "it's alright" before sitting down again.
