Strazisar Eliminated by Linde

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jan Strazisar
Jan Strazisar

Jan Strazisar open-jammed for 45,000 in an early position and his previous nemesis Emilien Pitavy on the button asked for an exact count, then folded. Mir Gaskari let go in the small blind and Dylan Linde then instantly called out of the big blind.

Jan Strazisar: 44
Dylan Linde: AQ

The Q93 flop gave Linde the lead and Strazisar already gathered his belongings. Nothing changed on the 3 turn and 10 river to send Strazisar to the rail.

Stavila Vanishes; Revah Soars to Massive Stack

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Dan Stavila
Dan Stavila

In a pot of around 60,000 to the 65437 river, Eyal Revah over-bet 90,000 and that sent Dan Stavila into the tank. With a stack of around 360,000 behind, Stavila pondered about his move while Revah kept talking like he had done pretty much the entire day already.

Suddenly, Stavila announced all-in and Revah snapped him off to instantly show his A9 for the ace-high flush.

Stavila grabbed his cards and placed them right on top of the muck before heading out of the tournament area.

He would later tell friends that he called with the K8 for the king-high flush, though that cannot be verified.

Pitavy Scores a Big Double

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Emilien Pitavy
Emilien Pitavy

Jan Strazisar raised to 10,000 and earned one caller thereafter. Emilien Pitavy then three-bet to 47,000 before Strazisar announced a reraise, carefully sorting chips and pushing forward 245,000. One fold later, it was up to Pitavy who announced call and wanted to turn over his cards already.

His table neighbours instantly urged him to wait as he may have more chips behind, which was indeed the case. Once most chips of both players were in the middle, they headed to the KJ2 flop. Pitavy was all-in for another 25,000 and Strazisar called.

Emilien Pitavy: QQ
Jan Strazisar: 1010

The Q turn gave Pitavy a set while Strazisar now gained more outs than he had one street earlier. However, the 4 ruver was a blank and Pitavy scored an enormous double.
