Botez Forces a Fold

Alexandra Botez opened to 8,000 from early position and Stefan Nemetz defended from the big blind.

The flop came J102. Nemetz checked, Botez fired an 8,000 continuation bet and Nemetz opted to fold.

Jack Germaine opened the action with a raise and Namhyung Kim three-bet to 22,000 on the button. Lexy Gavin-Mather then pushed all-in for around 90,000 and Germaine folded, while Kim instantly called.

The kicker problem was never solved on a board of J96A10 and Kim's king sent Gavin-Mather to the rail.

Aubakirov Gets a Shove Through

Soojo Kim raised from under the gun to 8,000 and received three callers in Daniyar Aubakirov, Adrian Mateos on the button and Aneris Adomkevicius in the big blind. The Q77 flop was checked to Aubakirov, who bet 6,000 and his three opponents all called.

On the 5 turn, Aubakirov bet 13,000 again and Adomkevicius was the only one to check-call, then check the J river. Aubakirov moved all-in for 36,000 and he got through with it.

A Showdown for the Ages

Curtis Oliver raised to 12,000 from the small blind and Jamie Gold called from the big blind. The flop was 1096.

Both players checked the flop and then again on the Q turn. It was check-check once more on the 4 river and they both turned over their cards.

"You got it," Gold said.

"I don't know about that," Oliver responded as he turned over 85. Gold had 86 to take the pot with a pair of sixes.

Poseidon Crashes Into Boat

Phil Hellmuth, who early today made a grand entrance dressed as Poseidon and surrounded by 17 mermaids, was down to just five big blinds and opened to 11,000 on the button with just 8,000 behind. Ori Eshel three-bet on the button and Hellmuth quickly called off to be at risk.

There was no sweat for the 17-time bracelet winner as the flop landed Q66 to give Eshel a boat and have Hellmuth drawing dead.

"Good flop for you," Hellmuth said as he stood from his seat headed to the runout of A6 confirmed his elimination.

Upon completion of level 12, the initial field of 515 has been reduced to just 169 hopefuls and they all aim to make it to the top 78 spots. During the ongoing 15-minute break, the T-500 chips will be raced off as they are no longer required for the rest of the night.

Kevin Martin opened to 6,000 from middle position and Dan Stavila three-bet to 17,000 from the cutoff. Martin four-bet shoved for roughly 40,000 and Stavila snap-called to put Martin at risk.

Martin was in great shape with pocket queens but the A63 flop gave Stavila some outs in the form of a flush draw. The J turn was clean but the flush came in on the 6 river to give Stavila the pot while Martin was sent to the rail.
