Action folded to Stephen Kehoe who raised to 34,000, leaving himself only 6,000 behind. Chris Brewer jammed for a little over 200,000 and when action folded back to Kehoe, he called off to set up a runout and put himself at risk.

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise $5,300 Main Event kicked off on Saturday at Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and officials took the opportunity to reveal to players what they’ll receive it they’re fortunate enough to finish as the last player standing.
In addition to a seven-figure payday, the winner will receive a new WSOP Paradise Main Event bracelet that is hand-crafted by Jostens and features an island spin on the classic WSOP Main Event bracelet. Custom made from 10-karat yellow gold, just like the summer’s trophy, the WSOP Paradise Main Event bracelet weighs nearly 95 grams and is hand-set with 494 genuine blue topaz round stones.

The dealer spread the K♣6♣5♥ flop and Cates checked. Armbrust bet enough to cover, and Cates called all in for 46,000.

The 10♥ turn gave "Jungleman" a couple more outs, but the 2♥ river bricked out, and Cates was eliminated just short of the money.
In a hand where Charles Gomez was all-in for his final 13,000 from the big blind, action folded around to Barry Hutter who tossed in the additional 3,000 without looking at his cards to set up a runout on the stone bubble with Gomez at risk.

For being forced all-in blind, Gomez turned up a nine-high holding that was actually ahead going to the flop, but when it came 3♥3♠Q♣, Hutter essentially had flopped Gomez dead.
The K♦ on the turn meant Gomez was a lock to finish on the stone bubble and when the K♣ river card made it official, Gomez would exit the tournament one spot off the money as the other 47 remaining players began racking their chips to join the start of the Day 2 session.

The final flight of Event #10: $5,000 Main Event Championship has concluded at the 2023 World Series of Poker Paradise at Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas. Day 1d drew a total of 307 entries and another 47 have made it through to Day 2 in the money.
Across four live starting flights and GG Poker qualifiers, the tournament attracted 3,010 entries which created a $15,050,000 prize pool. The top 447 finishers made it into the money and will return to Day 2 with a min-cash being worth $8,500, while the eventual winner will take home a $2,000,000 prize.
Among the players to bag in the Day 1d turbo flight were Sorel Mizzi, Aram Zobian, Barry Hutter, Ren Lin, GG Poker ambassador Bertrand Grospellier, Ben Yu, and Chris Brewer.
All survivors of the four live flights at the Atlantis Hotel and Casino and the online heat on GGPoker return to their seats at approximately 6 p.m. local time, shortly after the conclusion of the final flight. As of Day 2, the level duration increases to 60 minutes each and Day 2 is scheduled to play until the end of Level 25.
