Carlos Ribeiro and Dan Zack built a pot of around 40,000 as they went heads-up to the J♠2♥7♠ flop. Ribeiro then bet 9,000 from the hijack and Zack called in middle position.
Ribeiro bet another 26,000 on the K♣ turn and Zack moved all in. Ribeiro called for his last 51,000 and turned over K♥9♥ for top pair, while Zack had Q♣Q♥.
The river was the A♣ and Ribeiro doubled up.
Tamas Adamszki opened to 12,000 from under the gun and was called by Anh Do on the button and Jesse Lonis in the big blind.
On the K♠9♣7♥ flop, Adamszki continued for 27,000 and only Do called.
The turn was the 8♥. Adamszki opted to jam for his remaining 71,000 which sent Do deep into the tank. After using two time banks he elected to call.

Adamszki was ahead with top pair but Do had third pair and an open-ender. However, the 3♦ bricked off on the river and Adamszki got the full double.
Action folded to Aaron Olechnowicz who raised to 12,000 in the small blind. Young Sik Eum then three-bet to 46,000 in the big blind and Olechnowicz called.
Eum continued for 25,000 on the 6♣4♥2♠ flop and Olechnowicz called. The 5♦ turn was then checked through.
Olechnowicz led out for 110,000 on the K♥ river and Eum used two time banks before moving all in for 220,000. Olechnowicz quickly folded.
Alex Theologis moved all in for 70,000 from the hijack and Gilbert Diaz put him at risk in middle position.

Theologis was dominated heading to the 10♦9♣3♥ flop, which gave him some hope with a straight draw. The Q♠ fell on the turn to complete his straight and Diaz was left shaking his head as he paid off the double up following the 10♠ river.
Diaz was left short-stacked after the hand and was eliminated shortly afterward.
Heads-up on a flop of 9♦4♥2♦, Jordan Glazer bet 20,000 from middle position and David Peters called in the big blind.
Both players checked the Q♣ turn and the 10♦ fell on the river. Peters then led out for 25,000 and Glazer quickly called.
Peters showed 6♦5♣ for a missed straight draw, while Glazer had A♥2♥ for bottom pair to win the pot.
Farid Jattin opened the hijack to 13,000 before Phil Hellmuth three-bet to 30,000 from the button. With the action back on Jattin, he four-bet jammed for 85,000 effective as the covering stack, and Hellmuth slid the remainder of his chips forward in his patented two-handed fashion.

Hellmuth had Jattin dominated and it stayed that way as the board ran out A♥A♦2♥10♦3♥ and Hellmuth got the full double early.
Sergio Aido moved all in for 35,000 from early position and Brandon Meister called in the hijack.

The flop came K♥10♣4♣, giving Aido top pair and Meister a straight draw.
"Fair fight," Meister said, heading to the Q♠ turn, which gave him more outs with a pair.
The 3♥ river missed Meister and Aido earned the early double up.
On the second hand of the day, Scott Seiver jammed for 84,000 from early position and Gaspare Sposato snapped it off in the big blind.

Seiver was in rough shape but had one over as the board ran out K♣5♣3♣5♦2♥ and Seiver was eliminated early in the proceedings.
