Stakelis Hero-Calls the River Correctly
Level 7
: Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
The action was picked up on the turn in a hand between Audrius Stakelis from the big blind and Pedro Cavalieri on the button with 320,000 already in the middle.
With the board reading K♠8♣3♠8♥, Stakelis led for 90,000 from the big blind and Cavalieri called.
On the 6♦ river, Stakelis slowed down with a check before Cavalieri jammed for 220,000 effective as the covering. Stakelis went deep into the tank for over two minutes before he slid his chips forward to call.
Audrius Stakelis: 10♣6♥
Pedro Cavalieri: Q♠J♠
Stakelis rivered a pair of sixes while Cavalieri was bluffing with a missed flush draw as Stakelis made a great call for his tournament life to get the full double.
