Rough River for Glazer as Gadzhiev Gambles

Level 8 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Jordan Glazer
Jordan Glazer

Roman Gadzhiev opened 33,000 in the cutoff and Jordan Glazer came along from the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of 432, and Glazer check-raised a continuation bet of 28,000 to 75,000. After a few moments of thought, Gadzhiev announced all-in for 443,000. Glazer snap-called and both hands were tabled.

Roman Gadzhiev: J10 All in
Jordan Glazer: 65

Glazer had flopped the nut straight and was able to fade the diamond draw of Gadzhiev as the K hit the turn, but the A river completed the flush.

"No gamble, No future," Gadzhiev said as he raked in the double.

Level 8 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Charlott Eisenkolb
Charlott Eisenkolb

The action folded around to Charlott Eisenkolb in the cutoff who ripped all in for 265,000. Paul Newey was on the button and asked for a count before making the call. The blinds stepped aside and the two hands were tabled.

Charlott Eisenkolb: AKAll in
Paul Newey: 1010

The flop came 863 and Newey was still in the lead with the lone pair. The 3 on the turn and the 4 on the river changed nothing as Eisenkolb was sent to the rail.

Kristen Foxen
Kristen Foxen

After missing a few hands to celebrate her husband winning his third bracelet in the Triton Main Event, Kristen Foxen was all in for 219,000 against Yueqi Zhu to her left.

Kristen Foxen: A8 All in
Yueqi Zhu: KK

An ace-high flop of A8J gave Foxen a big lead and the board finished out 5Q to earn her a double. Just yesterday, Foxen was inducted into the Women in Poker Hall of Fame and received a round of congratulations from her tablemates.

Teusl Makes a Move

Level 7 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jessica Teusl
Jessica Teusl

Action was heads up to the 6838 turn, where Jessica Teusl checked in the small blind. Matas Cikinas fired a bet of 30,000 in the big blind and the call was made.

Teusl checked again on the 4 river and Cikinas tossed out a 100,000 chip. Teusl took some time before check-raising all in.

Cikinas counted his remaining stack and took some time of his own before opting to let it go, as Teusl picked up the pot.

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

Jonathan Jaffe opened 25,000 under the gun and Anthony Zinno jammed for 170,000 from a couple of spots to his left. Erik Seidel cold called in the big blind, and Jaffe mucked his hand.

Anthony Zinno: J9 All in
Erik Seidel: AA

The KK5 flop left Zinno needing runner-runner and the 2 turn sealed his fate as he tapped the table and wished the players good luck. The dealer completed the board with the A river, improving Seidel to a full house.

Level 7 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe

Alessio La Francesca opened to 25,000 in middle position and Manuel Fischer called in the hijack. Erik Seidel tossed in a call on the button, as did Jonathan Jaffe in the small blind.

Anatoly Zlotnikov took some time in the big blind before announcing all in. Action quickly folded back to Jaffe, who asked for a count. The dealer stacked up 970,000 chips, and Jaffe took a moment before sticking in the call.

Anatoly Zlotnikov: 33 All in
Jonathan Jaffe: 88

Jaffe's pocket eights were well ahead and held through the J10KA7 runout to send Zlotnikov to the rail.

No Football for Jager

Level 7 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Paul Jager
Paul Jager

Arthur Conan opened 25,000 in middle position before Paul Jager jammed his last 214,000 across the line from the cutoff. The action folded back around to Conan and after briefly eying Jager's stack, he made the call.

Paul Jager: Q8 All in
Arthur Conan: AQ

Jager was dominated but the 1098 flop gave him the lead with a pair of eights. Conan still had outs with a gutshot straight draw to chop, as well as an ace to win, but the 3 turn and 3 river meant Jager could remain seated.

"It was that or go watch the football game," said Jager as he pulled in the pot.

With 435 total entries recorded thus far on Day 1a in the $25,000 WSOP Super Main Event, just 300 are still in their seats as they are set to take a 60-minute dinner break. The action will resume at approximately 7:30 p.m. with a 12,000 big blind. Here is a look at what happened in the previous two levels:

In a heads-up pot on a board of 10JA34, Quan Zhou checked and Jean-Noel Thorel bet 75,000 with around 210,000 already in the pot.

Zhou responded by check-raising all in and was met with a snap-call from Thorel. Zhou could only show 98 for a stone buff as Thorel tabled A10 to win the pot with aces-up.

"Wow! Snap-call!" commented Shawn Stroke.

With the Q334 turn already on the felt, Noah Boeken fired 82,000 from the big blind into the pot of about 135,000. Stephen Song was on the button and made the call.

The A completed the board on the river and Boeken continued with aggression as he fired 150,000 into the middle. Song went deep into the tank before opting to make the call and Boeken announced, "Good call," tabling 109. Song rolled over Q7 for a pair of queens as he pulled in the pot.
