An Intense Checked-Down Pot

Level 8 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Lucas Greenwood opened to 27,000 in the cutoff and Miguel Lopes called on the button.

Greenwood checked on the flop of 233 and Lopes took some time before checking back. Greenwood checked again on the 10 turn and Lopes hid behind his black and white Vitória S.C. scarf before also checking.

The 2 river completed the board and Greenwood riffled his chips before checking for a third time. Lopes sat still and considered his decisions for about 30 seconds before checking back and showing AQ to win the pot.

Massive Suckout for Soyza

Level 8 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Michael Soyza
Michael Soyza

Chance Kornuth opened 35,000 in early position and Alain Stia called next to act before Michael Soyza jammed 627,000 from the small blind. Kornuth announced all-in as well, forcing Stia out of the pot and both hands were tossed on their backs.

Michael Soyza: AK All in
Chance Kornuth: AA

It was worst case scenario for Soyza as the dealer fanned the K82 flop. Soyza picked up a pair of kings, and the 9 turn gave him a flush draw to go along with it as the 6 rolled off on the river to complete his flush.
