Thomas Muehloecker raised it up from the hijack and Florian Gaugusch ripped in the last of his 283,000 chips from the big blind. Muehloecker asked for a quick count and then called to put his countrymate at risk.
Florian Gaugusch: A♠8♠
Thomas Muehloecker: K♥Q♣
The flop of 7♥5♣4♣ left Gaugusch in the lead with his ace-high. The 5♠ on the turn changed nothing but it was the Q♥ on the river that gave Muehloecker two pair and eliminated Gaugusch.
It took a few preflop raises but eventually, Benny Glaser and Waikiat Lee got all of their chips in the middle with Glaser being at risk for 574,000.
Benny Glaser: K♠K♦
Waikiat Lee: J♠J♦
Glaser not only had the better of the two pocket pairs but he also had both of the suits covered. The board ran out A♥6♥4♥4♦10♣ and Glaser scored a double up.
The entries have slowed down as the night has progressed but the tournament clock is still showing a total of 250 entries in the second flight of the $25,000 Super Main Event. The remaining 125 players are going on their last 15-minute break of the night with two levels still remaining tonight. Here is a look at the last two hours of play:
Biao Ding opened to 32,000 in early position with A♣Q♦ and Tony Parker woke up with the goods with K♦K♠ before min-three-betting to 64,000. Ding four-bet jammed a stack of 513,000 but was not met with a snap-call from the NBA legend.
Instead, Parker went in the tank behind a pair of dark sunglasses, folding his arms and leaning over the table before eventually sliding the premium holding into the muck.
Matt Glantz opened the cutoff before Giuseppe Iadisernia jammed for 340,000 from the big blind and Glantz snapped it off.
Giuseppe Iadisernia: A♠3♣
Matt Glantz: Q♠Q♣
Iadisernia was in rough shape against Glantz's queens and it stayed that way on the 10♥8♥8♦K♠J♣ runout as Iadisernia failed to improve as he hit the rail.
