Bad Timing for Hakim as he Runs Into Funaro's Set

Jeffrey Hakim opened in the cutoff and Frank Funaro three-bet 105,000 from the small blind. Hakim called.

When the K♣9♥7♠ flop hit the felt, Funaro continued for 55,000 and Hakim called.

The 4♦ turn was checked through to see the 8♠ on the river. Funaro led 55,000 once again. Hakim thought about it for a few moments before announcing all-in for nearly 500,000 and Funaro snap-called.

Hakim tabled 10♦9♦ for a pair of nines as he stood up from his seat and Funaro tabled K♦K♠ for top set.

Ostrander Wins a "Good Ol' Fashioned Race" to Bust Pardy

Greg Ostrander raised to 35,000 under the gun and Jon Pardy moved all in for 310,000 in the small blind. Ostrander took a few minutes and eventually called to put Pardy at risk.

"It's a good ol' fashioned race," Pardy said as the flop came J♥6♦3♥ to give Ostrander top set. The 3♦ turn improved him to a full house, while Pardy made his exit once the 2♣ fell on the river.

"I don't like jacks too much," Ostrander said after the hand.

Cornell Snaps Off Winter

Racener Doubles Through Rasskazov

Pavel Rasskazov opened the hijack, John Racener three-bet from the cutoff, Rasskazov four-bet, and Racener called to create a pot of around 340,000 preflop

On the 10♠8♠5♠ flop, Rasskazov continued for 110,000 and Racener put in the call.

The turn was the K♣. Rasskazov quickly jammed for 338,000 effective as the slightly covering stack and Racener snapped it off.

Yanovsky Finds a Call in Massive Pot Against La [Removed:534]

Eric Yanovsky three-bet to 80,000 in middle position, [Removed:533] four-bet to 226,000 in early positon, and Yanovsky called.

The flop came 10♥7♣3♠ and La [Removed:534] bet 150,000. Yanovsky called and the 4♦ fell on the turn.

La [Removed:534] then bet 250,000 and Yanovsky again called. The river was the 6♣ and La [Removed:534] bet 594,000, leaving himself just one 1,000 chip behind.

Yanovsky went deep into the tank, taking nearly 10 minutes to make a decision. Several players at neighboring tables began to turn around and follow the action as Yanovsky continued to ponder the decision.

Dylan Weisman eventually called the clock and Yanovsky didn't even wait for the countdown to begin before slamming in the chips. La [Removed:534] showed A♦K♣ for ace-high, while Yanovsky turned over J♣J♥ as he took down the massive pot to climb past 3,000,000.

Thorel Finds the Light at the End of the Tunnel

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 25,000 from the cutoff and Vanessa Selbst called from the big blind. The flop came 9♠7♣5♦ and Selbst check-called a bet of 50,000 from Thorel.

The turn was the J♠ and Selbst checked again. Thorel announced a bet of 75,000 and Selbst check-raised to 260,000. Thorel jammed all in and Selbst called off her stack of around 625,000.

Selbst turned the nut straight but Thorel still had some outs to come from behind. It was the 8♠ on the river that gave Thorel a bigger straight and Selbst exploded out of her seat before heading to the exit.

With 275,000 already in the middle the turn read Q♦6♦2♥5♦, and Faraz Jaka checked from the big blind to Jim Collopy who fired 85,000. Jaka took a few moments and made the call.

The dealer dropped the 7♣ on the river and Jaka checked it over to Collopy who asked to see Jaka's stack before splashing 375,000 across the line, which was enough to put Jaka to the test for his remaining 247,000. Jaka went into the tank for about a minute before deciding on a call.

Collopy rolled K♠Q♠ for top pair and Jaka stood up from his seat as his 10♦10♠ was turned face up.

Seo Sends Schwartz Deep Into the Tank

With around 175,000 in the pot on a flop of 5♦5♠4♣, Moonho Seo bet 75,000 from the big blind and Noah Schwartz called in early position.

The turn was the 9♠ and Seo bet another 140,000. Schwartz took a few minutes before calling as the 6♣ fell on the river. Seo then moved all in for 305,000.

Schwartz again tanked for several minutes, but this time he elected to fold and Seo took down the pot without a showdown.
