Crazy Eights Lead to a Meystel Victory

David Eldridge raised to 20,000 in early position and was called by Brian Hawkins on his left. Meir Meystel three-bet to 65,000 from the small blind and both Eldridge and Hawkins called.

The flop fell 8♠8♥8♦ and Meystel checked to Eldridge who bet 60,000. Hawkins stepped aside but Meystel called to see the 10♦ on the turn.

Meystel checked again and Eldridge tossed in a bet of 150,000. Meystel jammed all in for 367,000 and Eldridge asked for a count before laying his hand down.

The action was picked up on the turn in a hand between Belarmino De Souza from the small blind and Pavel Rasskazov from the hijack.

With the board reading 8♣7♣5♦4♥, De Souza led with a bet of 50,000 and Rasskazov put in the call.

On the 9♠ river, De Souza fired again for 55,000 which sent Rasskazov deep into the tank. After almost two minutes of thinking, he decided to put in the call.

Both players held an overpair to the board but Rasskazov's queens were best as he dragged a sizeable pot.

Kisacikoglu Makes Full House in Limped Pot

Vardan Vardanyan limped the hijack, followed by Orpen Kisacikoglu in the small blind and Martins Adeniya checked his option.

When the 8♦8♣3♦ flop hit the felt, the action checked to Vardanyan as he fired 10,000 into the middle. Kisacikoglu check-raised 30,000, forcing Adeniya out and Vardanyan stuck around with a call.

The 2♠ fell on the turn and Kisacikoglu continued for 70,000. Vardanyan called.

The dealer rolled the A♦ on the river and Kisacikoglu didn't slow down, tossing 205,000 into the middle. Vardanyan thought a bit longer this time and decided on a call.

Kisacikoglu tabled A♥8♠ and Vardanyan sighed as he threw his hands in the air before pushing his cards toward the dealer face down.

Jon Pardy and John Pannucci were in the blinds and created a pot of about 35,000 on the 9♠7♣4♦K♥ turn, where Pardy check-called a bet of 28,000 from Pannucci.

The 6♣ completed the board on the river and Pardy checked it over once more. Pannucci sized up to 135,000 and Pardy made the call to see the rivered straight as Pannucci tabled 8♦5♥.

Pardy flashed the 9♥3♥ for a pair of nines as Pannucci said, "Well, you were right."

"I was right until I wasn't," Pardy replied with a laugh.

The flop came 7♠6♥5♥ and Meystel led out for 25,000. Only Elias called.

The turn was the 2♦ and Meystel bet another 40,000. Elias quickly called and the 3♠ fell on the river, where Meystel bet 55,000.

Elias took a minute this time but called once more as Meystel showed J♣7♦ for top pair. Elias turned over K♣7♣ and took the pot with his king-kicker.

On the Q♦Q♣9♥ flop, Chouity continued for 16,000 and Parra called.

The turn was the 8♦. Parra decided to lead as he slid a green T-100,000 chip into the middle, saying "Six," with the intention to bet 60,000. However, it was ruled to be a minimum bet of 8,000, and Chouity called.

On the 3♣ river, Parra checked and Chouity, confused at the situation, reluctantly checked back. Parra revealed A♦5♦ for a missed flush draw, however his ace-high was good enough to drag the pot as Chouity mucked.

Fischer Gets Value with Full House

Heads-up to a completed board of J♠8♠8♥2♦2♠, Manuel Fischer in the big blind and John Pannucci in middle position had already created a pot of around 310,000.

Fischer led from the small blind for 265,000, leaving himself just 5,000 behind. Pannucci covered just slightly and cut out calling chips. After around 30 seconds in the tank, he slid a stack forward to call. He got the bad news as Fischer revealed 8♣6♠ for a rivered full house to win a massive one against what Pannucci said was a flush.
