The action folded to Carlos Sanchez Diaz on the button who made it 160,000 to go. Scott Seiver jammed all in for 460,000 in the small blind and Diaz quickly called.

The flop came K♣K♦8♦ to give Seiver a big lead with trip kings. The turn brought the 10♣ and Diaz was left drawing dead to the 7♦ on the river.

Seiver scored a double up in one of the first hands of the day but was moments later seen leaving the tournament room after being eliminated.

Lynskey Denies Davies a Triple Up

Seth Davies came into the day as one of the short stacks and moved all in for 360,000 in middle position. Matas Cimbolas called from the hijack and Alex Lynskey three-bet to 1,100,000 on the button. Cimbolas got out of the way and then provided commentary on the showdown.

The flop came Q♣J♠7♠ and Davies' outs turned from three to four as Cimbolas would say. The 10♠ on the turn and the 8♥ on the river were not enough for Davies who was eliminated.

A flop of 8♠6♥2♣ was spread across the felt with around 500,000 in the middle already. Alex Keating checked from the big blind and Gytis Lazauninkas also checked in middle position. Rania Nasreddine tossed in a bet of 275,000 from the hijack and Keating check-raised to 950,000. Lazauninkas stepped aside but Nasreddine quickly called.

The turn was the 5♥ and Keating used a time bank before shoving all in for roughly 5,000,000 effective. Nasreddine wasted little time before calling off her stack in what turned out to be a massive pot.

Keating flopped two pair to take the lead on Nasreddine's pocket kings. The 3♠ on the river bricked out and Nasreddine looked for a payout while Keating stacked a mound of chips.

Zegal Wakes Up With the Nuts to Bust Sturm

Stanislav Zegal and Leon Sturm were heads-up on a board of A♥K♠J♠8♥ when Sturm bet 300,000 from under the gun. Zegal then moved all in from the big blind.

Sturm had around 850,000 remaining and used four time banks as he considered the decision for several minutes. He eventually called off his last chips with A♠9♣, but Zegal turned over Q♣10♦ for the nut straight.

Sturm was already drawing dead by the 3♦ river as the defending champion scored the knockout.

Lococo had picked up queens in the small blind, but Haynie showed down a pair of aces in middle position. The board ran out 7♠K♦K♥5♦J♣ and Haynie secured the big pot.

The stacks were counted down and Haynie had Lococo's remaining 3,500,000 barely covered, sending the newly-crowned WSOP bracelet winner to the rail.

Heads-up on a board of 9♦K♦Q♦J♥, Anuschka Van Lent bet 250,000 from the hijack and Wayne Heung moved all in from under the gun. Van Lent used a time bank before calling for 950,000.

Van Lent showed J♠10♣ for a straight, while Heung had A♦4♥ for flush and straight draws. The 2♦ fell on the river to give Heung the nut flush as Van Lent saw her tournament run come to a sudden end.
