"Hippo Smells Bluff"
The reigning champion Yinan Zhou opened the action from middle position with a raise to 800,000 and was called by Martin Kabrhel in the big blind.
After the A♥10♣Q♥ flop, Kabrhel check-called a bet of 600,000 from Zhou.
Both players checked the 8♥ on the turn, to see the 7♣ on the river. Kabrhel then checked to Zhou, who bet out 2,200,000. Kabrhel grabbed his hippo card protector, put him over the bet, and said, "Hippo smells bluff." He then sat there debating his decision before making the call.
It seems the hippo was right, as Zhou turned over K♠9♠ for just king-high, as Kabrhel turned over the winner with J♣8♠ to take the pot with fourth pair.
As he was taking in the pot, Kabrhel added, "Hippo told me the champion was bluffing too much last year, I had to call."
