Johnson Slows Lococo's Rise

Level 2 : Blinds 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Alejandro Lococo opened to 7,000 in early position, and Rodger Johnson defended his big blind to see the A92 flop.

Johnson checked, making the call when Lococo continued for 5,000. Both players checked through the 2 turn, and the 7 river completed the board.

Another check from Johnson saw Lococo toss out a bet of 10,000. Johnson then announced a check-raise to 25,000, earning a quick fold from Lococo to take the pot.

Eric Afriat

Eric Afriat recounted a recent hand that saw him build a big stack, after his aces beat kings and jacks.

Afriat was then involved in another hand, where Neel Joshi opened to 7,000 from under the gun and Iuri Ribeiro three-bet to 24,000 on his left. Afriat stuck in the call, while Joshi folded.

Ribeiro continued with a bet on the 3K4 flop, and Afriat answered with a raise to 36,000. The call was made, and both players checked the K turn.

Ribeiro checked once more on the 6 river, with Afriat happy to check it down. Ribeiro showed 65 for kings and sixes, while Afriat tabled 88 for a better two pair to earn another pot.
