Of all the accolades, special moments, and career-defining achievements that have already marked Alex Foxen as one of poker’s best players, last December at the final table of the $100,000 Triton Main Event stands out.

Foxen emerged victorious over a field of 182 of the game’s biggest stars, defeating Portuguese online legend Joao Vieira in a short heads-up match to win his third World Series of Poker bracelet and second Triton Series event in as many months.

“It’s up there with my favorite poker moments, for sure. To get the Triton Series trophy and WSOP bracelet at the same time, it’s unreal,” Foxen said after securing the title and $3,850,000 top prize.

Pham The Latest to Crack Aces

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Action folded to Cong Pham in middle position, and he open-jammed all in for his stack of 237,000. Action folded all the way to the big blind, Vinny Lingham, who snap-called.

Cong Pham: JJ All in
Vinny Lingham: AA

Lingham woke up with aces in the big blind, looking poised to score the knockout. However, the 97Q flop gave Pham a flush draw and additional outs to stay alive. The Q on the turn brought no help, but the 2 on the river gave Pham the flush, cracking Lingham's aces and giving Pham double up.

Tom Heung opened the action with a raise to 30,000 from early position, which Alex Kulev in the small blind called before David Einhorn in the big blind three-bet to 90,000. Heung folded, but Kulev came along to see the KA2 flop.

Both players checked the flop to see the 4 on the turn. Kulev led out for 135,000, and Einhorn made the call. The river brought the 8, and Kulev moved all in for 444,000, which Einhorn called. Kulev tabled 109 for a flush, and Einhorn, in disgust, tossed top set AA in the muck, as Kulev secured the double-up.
