Level 24
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Aleksejs Ponakovs A♣K♥ opened to 400,000 from the button, and Adrian Mateos A♠J♠ defended his big blind.
Ponakovs made top pair, top kicker, on the K♣5♦3♠ flop and continued for 250,000. Mateos called with his ace-high.
Mateos checked on the 8♦ turn, and Ponakovs sized up to 1,500,000. Mateos was a non-believer and called once more.
There was 4,600,000 in the pot when the 9♣ arrived. Mateos had 4,200,000 behind and was covered by Ponakovs' all in. Mateos released his hand, and Ponakovs returned to the top of the counts.
