Ponakovs Turns a Set
Level 26
: Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Pedro Padilha opened to 650,000 from under the gun and Aleksejs Ponakovs called from the button.
The A♥Q♣7♣ flop checked through to the 10♠ turn. Padilha bet 575,000 and Ponakovs called, bringing in the 8♣ river. Padilha fired out another 900,000. After some thought, Ponakovs made it 3,350,000.
Padilha was bluffing with K♠9♠ and folded. Ponakovs had 10♥10♦ for a set of tens and was searching for value.
