Bouchama Gets Mad

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Tarek Bouchama opened the action for 60,000 and Omar Lakhdari moved all in for around 550,000. It folded round to Bouchama who started asking Lakhdari a few questions and it looked like the floor had enough of the time it was taking for him to make decisions. Instead of hurrying him up though this turned into a long discussion that seemed to be about the fact he was entitled to use some speech play and that was part of poker.

The argument raged for another few minutes and involved the tournament director who tried to calm things down. Bouchama folded his cards in the middle of this but wouldn’t let it rest, continuing to protest. Whether this is all an act or a genuine grievance is difficult to tell but it is certainly having an effect on his table and the tournament staff.

Soutavong Shoves Turn

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Bruno Soutavong moved all in on the turn of a board reading {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. His opponent shrugged and made the call. It was a dangerous looking board and Soutavong’s opponent had made the call with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

Soutavong had no response though as he had made his move with {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} and needed a king to survive. The river was the {6-Hearts} and Soutavong’s tournament was at an end.

Twenty Four Remain

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Respect Bouchama Please

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Tarek Bouchama had opened for 65,000 and faced a three-bet from Omar Lakhdari to 170,000. Bouchama had a look at his phone, wrapped the wire around it and stood up, which he has done several times. After a couple minutes he just made the call.

Bouchama then checked blind and refused to look at the flop of {2-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Lakhdari bet 95,000 and Bouchama moved all in for around 300,000. Lakhdari let his hand go.

“Respecte moi, s’il vous plait.” Bouchama shouted as he collected the pot.

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Guillaume Wilhelm moved all in with {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and got looked up for his tournament life by {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

The cards fell {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and Wilhelm survived to double up. He still has a long way to climb but he is still in the tournament.

Big Slick Does For Hoa

Vinh Luong Hoa was all in and got a call from Carlo Savinelli.

Hoa had {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and was looking to hit against the {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} of Savinelli.
The board ran out {2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Nice few hands for Savinelli and the end of the line for Hoa.
