A crazy pot just played out between Adrian Mateos and Norbert Berent.
It was five-bet preflop and the board was reading . According to Tamer Kamel, this was the first hand that had genuinely confused him all day. He told us how Mateos had opened, Berent had three-bet and then five-bet over Mateos' four-bet and the Spaniard had called.
Both players had checked the flop before Mateos check-called a bet on the turn. Berent then shoved his last 150,000 or so on the river after another Mateos check and the latter was tanking. After a few minutes Mateos made the call and Berent showed and Mateos won the pot with . Berent was out while the rest of the table congratulated the Spaniard on his big call.
