Two Pair For Joep

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Marvin Nanulaitta raised from the small blind to 13,000 and Joep van den Bijgaart called from the big blind. The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and both players checked.

On the turn, the {5-Spades} Nanulaitta bet 14,000 and Van den Bijgaart made the call. The river brought out the {K-Spades} and Nanulaitta bet 15,000 after which Van den Bijgaart moved all in to put his opponent at risk.

Nanulaitta called after about a minute and Van den Bijgaart quickly tabled {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair. Nanulaitta mucked in frustration and left the tournament room empty handed.

A Huge One For Pham

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We picked up the action in what turned out to be a massive pot when Kees van Brugge called a raise from the cutoff put in by Tuan Pham in the big blind. After Van Brugge had made the call the player on the button and the small blind folded creating heads-up action.

The flop came down {3-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Pham continued with a bet of 34,000 and Van Brugge put in the call. On the turn the {K-Diamonds} hit and Pham bet 84,500, which was once again called by Van Brugge.

The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Pham bet 100,000 with about 85,000 chips left behind. Van Brugge went into the tank for over seven minutes before Pham ultimately called the clock on him. Van Brugge then folded and was left behind with 240,000 chips.

"Will you ever tell me?" Van Brugge asked his opponent.

"Some day," Pham responded and Van Brugge was left wondering if he made the right decision.
