Day 2 was an exciting day at Playground Poker Club. The day began with 294 players returning to the tables for partypoker.net WPT Montreal, and only 63 players remained at the end of nine one-hour levels.

There is a total of $2,366,315 CAD in the prize pool, and some of that was distributed late in the day on Monday. The top 81 players are set to get paid, and the money bubble was burst in the second-last level of the day.

In a hand that saw Darryll Fish holding {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} to his opponent's {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, Fish was responsible for taking the tournament into the money as he made a diamond flush on the {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board. Martin Bailey was the 82nd-place finisher and everyone remaining was guaranteed a payout.

When the tournament clock finally came to a stop for the night, Harpreet Gill had the most chips, bagging 993,000. Trevor Delaney was not far behind with 968,000. Rainer Kempe rounded out the top three with 840,000.

Others to make it through to Day 3 included Jason Mann (733,000), Darryll Fish (559,000), Brian Altman (423,000), Cornel Cimpan (415,000), Scott Davies (413,000), Marco Caza (390,000), Carter Swidler (317,000), David Quang (295,000), Mike Linster (278,000), Darren Elias (244,000), Anthony Zinno (166,000), Jeff Madsen (154,000), Freddy Deeb (150,000), and Marc-Etienne McLaughlin (121,000).

Those to collect their payout already in this tournament included Cate Hall (64th - $7,030), Liv Boeree (70th - $7,030), Mike McDonald (71st - $7,030), and Osman Soubra (80th - $5,860).

The remaining 63 players will return tomorrow for Day 3 and start playing into the bigger prizes. Play resumes at 12 noon and PokerNews will be back on the tournament floor for live updates of all the action. Until then, have a good night!
