Time to Hollywood

Level 22 : 8,000/160,000, 2,000 ante

Azim Popatia and Harpreet Gill just had a battle of wits and cards that resulted in an all-in pot.

The flop was down and reading {4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Gill slid out a stack of blue chips to bet 100,000. Popatia snap-shoved.

The action was then on Jeffrey Mulder, but Popatia was only interested in Gill's reaction.

The WPT cameras all flicked on, lighting up the table for the big hand. "Now you can do all the Hollywood you want. You're on TV," Popatia said to Gill.

Mulder folded his hand and Gill went in the tank, taking a swig of his beer and taking a minute to think through his decision. Eventually, he called.

Popatia: {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Gill: {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

"Oh, he has a draw. He has outs. I don't like it," Popatia said. But his worries faded as the board completed with the {q-Hearts} and {8-Spades}, giving him the big double-up.

A Redraw for 27 Players Remaining

Level 22 : 8,000/160,000, 2,000 ante

With the elimination of Scott Davies, just 27 players remain and the tournament clock has been paused to redraw seats for all of the players. We'll post the new seating chart as soon as it is made available.

Delaney Over Davies

Scott Davies and Marco Caza
Scott Davies and Marco Caza

There was a flop on the table of {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and the chips started flying in. Trevor Delaney made a continuation bet, Scott Davies raised, Delaney reraised, Davies shoved, and Davies called.

Davies flipped over an overpair with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Delaney held an even better overpair with {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. The turn of {a-Clubs} left Davies drawing dead and he shook hands around the table while Delaney celebrated and scooped up heaps of chips.
